Thanks for visiting!

The Barrington Council for the Gifted and Talented is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization of parents whose common goal is to serve as a resource and advocate to talented students, their families and those who educate our children.  We are a community of members who facilitate connections between families of highly capable children to help further their knowledge of how to best support their children academically, socially and emotionally.

BCGT Member Only Event – Navigating BHS as an Extended Student

Tuesday, February 5th   Cancelled due to weather

Audience: Current 8th Graders and Parents/Guardians

Do you have an 8th grader taking extended classes who has questions like, “Should I take AP World History? What science classes should I take in high school?” For answers to these questions and more, join us for a Member Only event for 8th grade students and their families. A panel of current BHS extended students will provide information and answer questions ranging from class selection to balancing homework and activities. This event is separate from the BHS transition night, because we’ll focus solely on choices and questions of extended students. Past attendees have found this event very helpful and you won’t want to miss. Registration is required.
